More than a dozen of music’s biggest stars, from Beyoncé to H.E.R., would love an Emmy to add to their award shelves.

A Variety review of the 535 entries throughout the Television Academy’s seven music categories reveals a surprising number of A-list singers, songwriters and music directors apparently eager for TV’s top honor. Among them:

The Killers, Bruce Springsteen ‘Dustland’ music video was filmed in Utah

Brandon Flowers was at New York’s JFK International Airport, getting ready to fly home to Utah, when he got a text message from a number he didn’t know.

The message praised Flowers’ band, The Killers, and complimented the singer’s style. And then there was a request: “We gotta do ‘Dustland’ one day.”

The note, which Flowers recently shared on his Twitter account, then ended with a simple “Bruce.”

In a recent Twitter post, Flowers recalled receiving that message over a year ago. He wrote how he didn’t want to jump to any conclusions, so he Googled the area code.

Bruce Springsteen Talks ‘Broadway’ Return, New Music, and 2022 Tour?

Bruce Springsteen is getting back to work this summer, playing a big role in Broadway’s return by bringing back his $108-million-grossing “Springsteen on Broadway” for the entire summer, but that isn’t all he has in the works, as he revealed in a call on Sirius XM’s E Street Radio.

“I am looking forward to being in front of an audience,” he told hosts Dave Marsh and Jim Rotolo. “It’s going to be quite a thing. I’m actually glad to be working.”
