Florida man brutally beaten, put in a coma after asking neighbors to lower music

A Florida man was reportedly beaten to a pulp and rendered unrecognizable to his family when he asked his neighbors to turn down their loud music.

Frank Penkava, 42, of Hollywood, was placed in a medically induced coma at Memorial Regional Hospital with multiple fractures in his face after the brutal beatdown on June 14, NBC Miami reported.

On Tuesday, he remained hospitalized as doctors wait for him to stabilize before they can operate, according to WPLG.

L.A.-based music executive died in Florida condo collapse

A Los Angeles-based music executive was identified as one of the victims in the collapse of a 12-story Florida condominium that killed at least 97 people, authorities said.

Theresa Velasquez, 36, was a confirmed fatality in the June 24 collapse of the Champlain Towers South condo, the Miami-Dade Police Department said in a statement. Her body was recovered July 8.

She was the 95th fatality identified in the collapse, police said.

Tampa, FL (June 11, 2021): In honor of World Ocean Month, The Florida Aquarium and Tampa Electric welcomed nearly 40 campers from Mission Tampa Bay, to The Florida Aquarium’s new 6,000 square-foot Rooftop Terrace, to highlight the importance of solar energy.
