“TK” for short, King has nearly 120,000 subscribers and often uses the phrase “forking” in masterful ways — example: she’s a forking good content creator.
“The mission of my channel is to make someone laugh and to motivate them. I want to make someone get out of bed and conquer their day,” King, 24, told The Post. “I was a cheerleader growing up and grew up in a sports-oriented family so I’ve always been in the grinding, lets-get-that-bread environment.”
With hustling ingrained in her mentality, she kickstarted her career in content creation by working for Alisha Marie, who has a wealthy subscriber base of more than 8 million. She used her CBS internship experience to bring filming, producing and brainstorming to life.
“I met Alisha through Kenzie Elizabeth, who was my first friend in LA,” she said. “I didn’t have a place to stay for 2018 Coachella and I said, ‘Fork, what do I do,’ so Alisha allowed me to sleep in her room. They grew closer at Coachella, which she named the “Influencer Olympics,” and eventually worked for Alisha full time.
“I was doing a little bit of editing as her ‘preditor,’ a producer and editor,” she said. “Working for Alisha gave me confidence in myself and my work. It was nerve-wracking because I knew people were going to be watching my videos, but since I was filming for her, I had the experience under my belt.”
When quarantine hit, she hit the ground running.
The LA-based creator also has a podcast, “TK’s Juicy Pod,” which sprouted from her love for Instagram polls and stories. She asked her followers everything, from the lighthearted pizza versus pasta debate to more serious topics, like divorce and current events.
“I was bored one Christmas break and I went all out with my Instagram stories,” she said. “I even had some of my guy friends call me ‘Story’ and say, ‘What’s up, Story?,’ just because I was that normal girl who cared about Instagram.”
Eventually, she noticed hotter-than-hot guys were voting and keeping the engagement up, so she started asking “girl talk” questions, like if guys should pay on the first date and if girls should immediately respond to a guy’s message, in a hetero relationship.
“That’s when the juicy questions came into play,” she explained.
Keeping things light and juicy, she shared all the products with a little bit of flair to shop, save and bookmark. Find her go-to sultry red lip colors and sporty chic styles, alongside other spicy picks.
